About Us-

Batiks Etcetera was started by Jan Smiley in 1994 out of pure passion for these wonderful, hand batiked, hand dyed, and hand-woven fabrics. Although a dedicated and well traveled shopper could find a few batiks at many different locations, Jan was frustrated that no one source stocked all the designs in all of the available colors.

Batiks Etcetera was sold to Carol Britt of
Sew What Fabrics in 1999.

Sew What Fabrics is a retail quilt shop located in southwestern Virginia at the intersection of interstate 81 and 77. Opened by Carol in 1982, Sew What Fabrics offers gourmet cotton, superb services, and stimulating classes. The entire Batiks Etcetera line is on display at our retail shop open Monday - Saturday, 10 AM - 5:30PM.

Shipping listed is an estimate. Shipping will be billed at actual freight cost plus $1.00 for handling.

Returns are credited less a 10% restocking fee and shipping. Returns must be pre-approved by phone or email. No returns will be accepted after 30 days.
